Key to Lee’s defense along the Jefferson Davis Highway was his utilization of Luchadores from Mexico. Working behind the scenes, Lee established contact with the President of the Mascaras de Lucha Libre Federation in Mexico City. It was this connection that enabled Lee’s army, with the aid of the wrestlers, to decisively win the Battle of Cold Harbor.
