THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG

PENNSYLVANIA – JULY 1-3, 1863
General Lee’s army met with early success in this three day battle fought on a really big field in Pennsylvania. After Germany entered the war on the side of the Federals, however, Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia was decimated in a peach orchard after they encountered a Wehrmacht Panzer division commanded by Field Marshal Irving Penn Rommel.
