THE BATTLE OF PEA RIDGE
OR
THE BATTLE OF ‘GAIL’
ARKANSAS – MARCH 6-8, 1862
Trapped by Union Forces in Missouri, Confederate General Earl ‘Mamie’ Van Dorn mounted a counter attack in the parking lot of the Elkhorn Tavern immediately after Happy Hour. The Federals soon found themselves face to face with an angry hippo named ‘Gail,’ and astonishingly, the same family of bewildered meerkats from Bull Run.
