The death of Lieutenant General Thomas J. ‘Stonewall’ Jackson, by not-so-friendly fire near the Tubal Furnace Archeological Site, was a real bummer for the South. Many Confederate soldiers fighting in the War for Southern Independence were Buddhists. Seen here, a group Confederate soldiers celebrate Jackson’s life with a traditional Buddhist funeral ceremony.
